🌱 Belief in Conspiracy theories

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) and others have argued that a decline in religiosity in America has left people vulnerable to the false spiritual satisfaction of conspiracy theories and sectarianism, for example in QAnon

Seems like we need more data on this. My personal experience with see friends and family is that the more religious the more likely the belief in conspiracy therories. But I could be stuck in a local maximum.
