Don’t buy lenses with f numbers higher than f/2.8 (f/4, f/5.6) unless you have reasons you understand.
Don’t buy variable aperture (f/3.5-5.6, f/4.0-5.6) unless you understand the tradeoffs.
Good zooms cost over $1500. Fixed lenses are cheaper. It’s easy to crop closer later in most cases if Camera is 24 mp.

Lot smaller, way better out of camera images, everything costs more. I use Fujifilm for my own reasons. I don’t think I’d recommend this for folks starting out unless you valued size and jpeg quality.
