🌱 I do not understand the difference between literature notes and permanent notes

Lit notes, as I understand it, are meant to summarize and paraphrase a quote from a source. You re-write what your source is saying in your own words, but still fundamentally the same idea as the source had. Permanent notes are your own original thoughts, based on your reading. They’re saying “I think X, and my reasoning for it comes from these various literature notes,” more or less.
