if you ever notice when you have like a horrible threat or if you’ve been attacked by a tiger even if you’re like running a marathon or running on a treadmill when you’re breathing in the time when your bodies like activating all the muscles you tend to breathe really shallow in through your chest the kind of thing that people experience a panic attacks too but the parasympathetic nervous system is activated not by shallow chest breathing but by the deep sort of belly breathing and he’s depressed so we take we take the air into our stomach and then let it out really slowly the awesome news is that this is a way that client suggest we can activate our parasympathetic nervous system just through our breath and so just taking time to do 2 to 3 minutes of deep belly breathing isn’t even meditation per se it’s just kind of getting your breath right
