officials said they had seen virtually no uptick in applicants since the governor’s announcement, which ended a $300 weekly supplement to other benefits…Indeed found that in states that have abandoned the federal benefits, clicks on job postings were below the national average.
If this is true, makes it seem that folks have to look for higher paying full time work to replace all their benefits rather than ability to take on lower paying or part-time work to supplement their benefits.
I feel this pressure to have to find all income from a single source and it feels riskier than having several smaller income strings. I don’t like the all or nothing aspect of most employment.
