Well-built furniture - made by hand or power - has remained something only for the wealthy. Cheap, poorly manufactured furniture will always outsell expensive, well-made stuff. Our economy, at least at this particular consumerist phase, is ruled by price. I have concluded that either most furniture buyers cannot tell the difference between crap and craftsmanship, or they do not care. So - and this is important - we cannot look to furniture manufacturers to give us good places to sit, eat and store things. We need to look elsewhere. I propose a new and most certainly doomed furniture movement. Here is the gist; The only way that most of us can own good furniture’s to make it for ourselves.
